Advanced medical equipment gifted to Age Care Foundation

Visakhapatnam: In an initiative displaying compassion and community service, Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao presented advanced medical equipment worth Rs 1.13 crore to Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation in Bheemunipatnam on Sunday, sourced with the support of Rotary Club Greater Visakha.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA lauded the foundation for its unwavering commitment to serving the elderly, describing its medical care initiatives as both commendable and humane. He emphasised that providing treatment through cutting-edge technology without any profit motive offers immense comfort and dignity to the elderly patients.
Further, Srinivasa Rao urged the foundation to adopt a government school in the Bheemili constituency, a proposal that received immediate and enthusiastic approval from both the foundation’s management and Rotary Club Greater Visakha representatives. Showcasing their dedication to holistic elder care, the foundation’s team highlighted a wide range of services being delivered.
Rotary Club Greater Visakha president Chinta Netaji informed that the initiative was made possible through the efforts of the club’s former district governor C.H. Kishore Kumar, who mobilised contributions from various Rotary Clubs across multiple countries along with the support from the Rotary Foundation.
The equipment includes state-of-the-art physiotherapy systems, a fully equipped diagnostic laboratory, nurse-calling systems and essential infrastructure for laundry, kitchen and dining services, transforming the facility into a comprehensive care centre.
The event witnessed the presence of foundation chairman G. Sambasiva Rao, past district governor Sharath Chowdary, managing trustee N S Raju, G K Murthy, secretary of Visakhapatnam Public Library Society DS Varma and club members GS Raju and K M K Ramesh.
