Bus catches fire in Gajuwaka, major tragedy avoided

A major disaster was narrowly averted in Autonagar, a key industrial area in Visakhapatnam’s Gajuwaka, when a private bus caught fire suddenly, causing chaos among passengers.

While travelling along the main road, the driver noticed smoke emanating from the engine. Acting swiftly, he halted the bus and evacuated all passengers before the flames spread. Despite the rapid fire engulfing the vehicle and reducing it to ashes, no injuries or fatalities were reported, thanks to the driver’s quick response.

Firefighters arrived promptly and managed to control the blaze. Traffic was temporarily halted as the burning bus remained in the middle of the road. Authorities suspect a technical fault or short circuit may have caused the fire. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause.
