Mumbai: Actress Aahana Kumra recently undertook a spiritually significant journey to the revered Kamakhya Temple, overcoming a series of travel setbacks before finally reaching the sacred destination.

The actress shared her experience on Instagram, posting a collection of photographs and videos from the temple, which holds immense importance in Hindu spirituality. Known as a prominent centre of the Kulachara Tantra Marga, the shrine is also associated with the annual Ambubachi Mela, a unique celebration symbolising the menstruation cycle of Goddess Kamakhya.

Detailing her challenging journey, Aahana revealed that she encountered multiple obstacles, including lost luggage, delayed and changed flights, and several unexpected detours. Despite these difficulties, she expressed a sense of divine guidance that ultimately led her to the temple.

In her post, she wrote about feeling blessed upon her arrival, describing the experience as one filled with gratitude, faith, and heartfelt prayers as she sought the blessings of Goddess Kamakhya.

Her recent film appearance includes Salaam Venky, directed by Revathi and starring Kajol and Vishal Jethwa. The film narrates the emotional true story of a mother supporting her son diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, inspired by the book “The Last Hurrah” by Shrikanth Murthy.
