TV actress Aditi Sharma files domestic violence complaint against husband and in-laws in Mumbai

FIR registered at Goregaon Police Station after the actress alleges physical and mental harassment, assault, verbal abuse, character assassination, and misuse of her stridhan.
Mumbai: Popular Bollywood actress Aditi Sharma is allegedly facing mental harassment and domestic violence. The actress as per reports has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband. Aditi Sharma has accused husband Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, her mother-in-law, Urmila Kaushik, and her sister-in-law, Kirti Kaushik of harassing her. The complaint was lodged at Mumbai's Goregaon Police Station.
Reports suggest that an FIR was registered on July 31 against the three based on Aditi Sharma's complaint. The actress as per reports has accused them of physical and mental harassment, domestic violence, assault, verbal abuse, doubting her character and misusing her stridhan (bridal jewellery).
Aditi Sharma alleged that the behaviour of her husband has changed within two to three days of the wedding and he started objecting to her choice of clothes and picking fights over minor issues. She said that instead of contributing to household expenses, her husband would take money from her.
According to the complaint, Aditi Sharma's husband allegedly began suspecting her character, accusing her of having an affair since January. She also claimed that her husband used to regularly check her mobile phone and started sleeping in a separate room.
According to her statement to the police, Aditi met Abhineet in June 2021 and they had started dating each other. The couple began living together in a live-in relationship at a flat in Goregaon West in September 2024, before getting married on November 12, 2024.
