Pamala Serena shares past betting secret on Lock Upp, says she's 'not proud' of it

Former beauty queen Pamala Serena revealed on Lock Upp that she placed bets on cricket matches while studying in London, claiming a friend with connections to cricketers provided tips. She said betting was legal there but admitted she now regrets earning money that way.
Mumbai: Lock Upp has become one of the most popular TV shows of India and the episod brings something worth the headlines. In the latest episode of the show, beauty queen Pamala Serena and Sufi Motiwala are seen competing to secure their place. During the show Pamala Serena said that she used to place bets on cricket matches while she was a student.
Pamala admitted that one of her friends was close to several cricketers. She said that her friend helped her in betting after the former used to receive tips from insiders. She revealed it after the word 'match fixing' appeared on the screen when she was asked to reveal her secret during the show.
Pamala said that when she was a student her friend used to get tips about who would win, who would score. She also said that there used to be bookies in London where she used to gamble and make bets. She also revealed that she had made a lot of money through betting but she is not proud of it.
Pamala said that it was not illegal to bet in London that is why she was involved in it. She said that she enjoyed betting at that time and later in life realised it was not the right way to earn money. Admitting that she is not proud of her past, Pamala explained that she was a student then and was drawn to betting because the prospect of making easy money was tempting.
Pamala Serena is a former beauty queen who won the titles of Ms Universe Dubai 2021 and Ms UAE World 2022. She was born in the United Kingdom to Indian parents. She is currently seen as a contestant in the reality show Lock Upp , which is hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.
