‘Isakapatnam’ set for July 2 premier

Prime Video has officially announced the worldwide premiere date of its much-awaited Telugu Original series Isakapatnam. The revenge-driven action thriller will begin streaming exclusively on the platform from July 2, reaching audiences across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Headlined by acclaimed actors Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh, Isakapatnam is set in a fictional port town and explores a gripping world of power struggles, family rivalries, gangster conflicts, and political drama. The series also features a strong ensemble cast including Sunil, Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Rohini, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Varma, and Raja Chembolu.

Directed by Garry BH, with writing by Prashant Ragathi and dialogues by Tajuddin Syed, the series is produced by Rahul Tamada and Saideep Reddy Borra under the Tamada Media Productions banner.

Speaking about the project, Prime Video India’s Head of Originals, Nikhil Madhok, described Isakapatnam as a gritty crime saga packed with emotional depth, layered characters, and unpredictable twists. He added that the series expands Prime Video’s growing slate of South Indian originals aimed at both domestic and international audiences.

The producers emphasized that while the show delivers the intensity of a revenge thriller, it is fundamentally a story about personal loss, loyalty, family feuds, and political conflict. They also highlighted the authenticity of the world-building, including the recreation of a bustling port town.

Isakapatnam will stream in Telugu with dubbed versions in Tamil and Hindi, along with subtitles in 15 languages, making it accessible to a broad global audience.
