The actress revealed that she had even travelled multiple times to Atlanta, believed to be Raj Kiran’s last known location, in an attempt to trace him.
Mumbai: Actress Somy Ali on Sunday made an emotional appeal on social media as she continued her long-standing search for veteran actor Raj Kiran, whose whereabouts have remained unknown for years.
Somy, who has been trying to locate the 1980s star for nearly two decades, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram recalling their time together in the film industry. She fondly remembered working with him and described his acclaimed film Arth as one of her all-time favourites.
Reflecting on their last collaboration in Agnichakra, Somy spoke about the cherished memories they created during their Bollywood days. In her post, she expressed a deep sense of nostalgia, recalling the warmth and laughter they shared while working together.
The actress revealed that she had even travelled multiple times to Atlanta, believed to be Raj Kiran’s last known location, in an attempt to trace him. She urged anyone with information about the actor to come forward and help reconnect them, saying that some relationships deserved to be rediscovered.
Raj Kiran rose to prominence as a romantic lead in films like Karz, Teri Meherbaniyan, Ghar Ho To Aisa, and Bulundi. However, his career later declined, and he reportedly struggled with personal and mental health issues.
According to reports, he had been admitted to a mental health facility in Mumbai before eventually moving to the United States. While living in New York, he is said to have gone missing, and since then, no confirmed information about his whereabouts has surfaced.
Somy had earlier promised late actor Rishi Kapoor that she would try to find his close friend Raj Kiran. Despite persistent efforts over the years, she has not yet been able to fulfil that promise.
