He further shared that his co-actors played a significant role in this transformation. Gaggnani said he felt inspired by their dedication, faith, and grounded nature, which influenced him both professionally and personally.

Mumbai: Actor Ssanjay Gaggnani, best known for his role in Kundali Bhagya, revealed that he embraced vegetarianism following a profound spiritual experience while shooting for his upcoming web show Hotspot. The actor described the decision as a deeply personal transformation rather than a lifestyle or health choice.

Speaking about the shift, Gaggnani said it stemmed from a spiritual awakening that occurred during the early days of filming. He noted that certain projects not only influence an artist’s career but also leave a lasting impact on their personal life. The actor recalled feeling what he described as a “divine intervention” from the very beginning of the shoot, which gradually led him towards introspection and spiritual alignment.

He further shared that his co-actors played a significant role in this transformation. Gaggnani said he felt inspired by their dedication, faith, and grounded nature, which influenced him both professionally and personally. Among them, he credited Aparna Dixit for being a guiding presence, adding that her influence helped him feel closer to God.

During this period, the actor became more involved in spiritual practices and traditions. He observed fasts during the final days of Navratri, visited the revered Chandrika Devi Mandir and a 51 Shakti Peeth temple, and performed the ritual of Kanjak, also known as Kanya Puja. The ritual, which involves worshipping young girls as embodiments of Goddess Durga, symbolises reverence for the divine feminine and is considered an important aspect of Navratri celebrations.

Gaggnani said that shortly after completing these rituals, he experienced a strong internal shift that prompted him to give up non-vegetarian food. He described the change as both emotional and spiritual, adding that it also fulfilled a long-standing wish of his mother.

The actor emphasised that his decision was entirely personal and rooted in individual belief. While he respects that everyone follows their own path, he encouraged people to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating clean, staying fit, and engaging in at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily.

Reflecting on his journey, Gaggnani said the transformation had been powerful and deeply fulfilling. He noted that since adopting vegetarianism, he had felt lighter, more positive, and more connected to both nature and his inner self, along with a stronger sense of spiritual alignment.
