Hyderabad: It is a matter of pride that National Awardee teacher V Padma Priya from Hyderabad district has been selected for the prestigious Finland International Education Exposure Visit. This programme, organized by the School Education Department, Telangana, will be held from April 18 to April 26, 2026. A total of 40 delegates from Telangana will participate in this exposure visit.

As part of the programme, teachers will study the best practices of the Finnish education system, including student-centered pedagogy and assessment methods.

Padma Priya holds a MSc. in Mathematics, MEd., and an Advanced Diploma in Software Technology. She secured second rank in her graduation from Osmania University. She entered the teaching profession after securing first rank in the English medium list in DSC 1996 and has been consistently working towards improving student learning outcomes.

She received the National Best Teacher Award in 2020 and was a finalist for the National ICT Award in 2022. She is known for innovative teaching methods in Mathematics, activity-based learning, development of low-cost teaching aids, and effective use of technology. She uses ICT effectively in teaching, learning, and assessment, and adopts blended learning and flipped learning strategies in her teaching.

As a Fulbright Scholar in 2016, she visited the USA and interacted with teachers from various countries, gaining insights into global teaching practices. She also connected her students with international peers, promoting global learning. In collaboration with the International Research and Exchange organization, she hosted seven American teachers at Government Nehru Memorial High School.

She has contributed significantly to digital initiatives such as Digital Library, DIKSHA platform, and AI curriculum development. She has also presented research papers in several national and international seminars.

Through this Finland visit, she will study advanced educational practices. Education department officials, Charminar mandal DEO Sri Sravan, Headmaster R Srinivas Reddy of Government Girls High School, Chaderghat (New), colleagues, and students have congratulated her on this achievement.
