Manipal police rescue kidnap victim, 4 held in Telangana

UdupiL Inan operation spanning two states, Manipal police rescued a kidnap victim and arrested four accused who were hiding in Telangana.
The incident took place when Ram Madival from Kundapura had brought his brother Rajesh to KMC Hospital in Manipal for treatment.
While Ram Madival, Rajesh, and Sudhir were having tea at a canteen outside the hospital, a black car without a number plate arrived. Seven to eight men suddenly tried to grab Rajesh.
Though he tried to escape, the assailants forcibly put him in the car and drove towards Hiriyadka.
The accused were previously acquainted with the family due to a business transaction. Probe revealed the abduction was connected to a business dispute in Telangana. The named accused include Mallareddy, Tulaja, Narasing, Hussain, Shankar, Nagesh, Parameshwara, and Vijay.
Following a complaint, Manipal police traced the gang to a lodge in Govindapalli, Karimnagar district, Jagtial, Telangana. Four accused were arrested, the victim Rajesh was rescued, and the two vehicles used, a Kia Carens and a Mahindra Thar without number plate were seized.
