Anantapur: District Collector O Anand led a grand heritage walk in Anantapur on Sunday to promote the preservation of historical monuments.
Accompanied by Joint Collector C Vishnu Charan and Assistant Collector Suyash Kumar, the walk commenced at Victoria Memorial Hospital and passed key landmarks including ancient temples, Jamia Masjid, and the Iron Bridge.
Highlighting structures dating from the 15th century, the administration introduced the state’s first ‘Blue Plaque’ concept.
College students served as guides, while officials and citizens pledged their commitment to safeguarding the city’s cultural heritage.
