5-Year-Old Girl Dies after Being Trapped Inside Lift in Hyderabad

Police said the lift had travelled from the first floor to the fifth floor. However, it was coming down, the child got trapped inside.
As per the media report, a five-year-old girl lost her life as she get trapped into a lift. The lift was located at a women’s hostel located in Gowlidoddi. The incident happened on Wednesday. The victim is named as Bistu Ghosh and belongs to Jharkhand. She had been living with her grandparents who work as a cook in the hostel.
According to the Hyderabad news, a Dial 100 alert was received call during the afternoon. The reports are made that that a young girl of 5 years was stuck in a grilled lift at Mahi Women PG in Gowlidoddi.
Police said the lift had moved from the first floor to the fifth floor. However, it was descending, the child became covered. She was later found on the third floor. Patrol teams right away moved to the site after receiving the emergency call.
The starting investigation on Hyderabad apartment tragedy revealed that the child had entered the lift in a daily manner. Police imagine that her clothes became entangled in the lift grill, leading to cruel head injuries. The impact result into the heavy bleeding, end in her death on the spot.
The body of the girl was taken to the postmortem examination. The Gachibowli police registered a case and started the investigation on the case.
The tragic incident of the girl death has increased concerns over the security measures in the hotel buildings. The housing society in the area demanded strict examinations of old lifts and proper safety mechanisms to stop such accidents in the future. Authorities are demanded to test if negligence or technical faults added to the mishap.
