Traffic Restrictions at Uppal Stadium Ahead of IPL Match

Traffic police have imposed restrictions around the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal ahead of today’s cricket match. With the likelihood of severe congestion, diversions are in place near the stadium. Such restrictions are typical on match days to manage traffic flow.

The 2026 IPL season will feature seven matches at Uppal Stadium between 5 April and 22 May. One match has already taken place, and another is scheduled for 13 April between SRH and Rajasthan Royals. On that day, heavy vehicles heading towards Uppal Junction will face restrictions from noon until midnight, with diversions in effect. Vehicles travelling between Warangal and Hyderabad are advised to use the Outer Ring Road via Ghatkesar.

Five main parking areas have been designated nearby — four outside the stadium for the public and a dedicated VIP/VVIP parking inside. Authorities urge spectators to use Metro services or RTC buses for travel. Heavy vehicles from Ghatkesar towards Uppal will be diverted towards Nagole and LB Nagar to ease congestion.
