Awareness prog held for chemists and consumers

Khammam: Anawareness programme for chemists and consumers was conducted in Khammam on Saturday as part of the government’s “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” initiative.
The programme was led by Drug Inspector Khammam Urban, CH Anil Kumar, who addressed participants on the importance of responsible pharmaceutical practices and consumer awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Kumar emphasized the crucial role of chemists and pharmacists in ensuring the safe distribution of medicines and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
He highlighted that such awareness initiatives help in strengthening coordination between chemists and consumers while promoting public health and safety.
He also urged all medical retail and wholesale distributors, along with pharmacists, to strictly follow drug control regulations and maintain ethical standards in their profession.
A large number of chemists, wholesale distributors, and retail pharmacists attended the programme, which was held at Chemist Bhavan in Khammam.
Participants were encouraged to actively engage with consumers, provide accurate information regarding medicines, and contribute to the overall healthcare system.
The event was organized by the Khammam District and City Chemists and Druggists Association, which called for collective efforts to make such initiatives successful and beneficial to the public.
