Union Bank drives inclusive growth in Khammam & Suryapet

Khammam: “TheUnion Bank of India has emerged as a key driver of financial growth and social development in Khammam and Suryapet districts during 2025–26,” said A Hanmantha Reddy, Regional Head of the bank.
Speaking to The Hans India on Saturday, he stated that the bank recorded robust growth in deposits and advances, while maintaining improved asset quality. “Our focus has been on balanced growth, financial inclusion, and customer-centric services,” he said.
Notably, the bank has played a vital role in implementing government welfare schemes, ensuring timely delivery of benefits and expanding banking access across rural and semi-urban areas. It has also extended strong support to MSMEs, farmers, and young entrepreneurs, boosting local economic activity.
Highlighting youth-focused initiatives, Reddy said the bank is promoting education loans, digital banking, and financial literacy, enabling students to pursue higher education and adopt safe digital transactions.
On the CSR front, the Union Bank carried out activities, such as providing computers and water coolers to schools, supporting NGOs, organizing blood donation camps, and conducting cyber security awareness programs. Water bottles were also distributed to pilgrims during Ramanavami at Bhadrachalam.
Further strengthening its presence, the bank opened new branches in Huzur Nagar and Yadulapuram, improving accessibility in underserved areas, while also extending timely insurance support to affected families.
Addressing challenges, he noted that the bank has strengthened credit monitoring systems to manage NPAs and is actively promoting financial awareness among customers.
Looking ahead, he said the bank aims to expand its branch network, enhance digital banking services, and deepen financial inclusion, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth.
