GMR distributes Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries
Mahabubnagar: Devarkadra MLA G Madhusudan Reddy (GMR) participated in several welfare programmes at Undyal village in Chinnachintakunta mandal on Sunday.
He distributed cheques to beneficiaries under Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund schemes. He also handed over proceedings to beneficiaries of the second phase of Indiramma Indlu.
Later, GMR held a review meeting with officials and local farmers on supplying water from Koilsagar Stage-I to Jammikunta, Nallakunta and Yerrakunta tanks in Undyal village. He interacted directly with farmers and discussed the necessary measures with officials.
GMR announced that water would be supplied to the three tanks through the Undyal pump house from Koilsagar Stage-I. He said the availability of water in the tanks would strengthen irrigation security for farmers and help improve groundwater levels. The government was committed to finding a permanent solution to farmers’ irrigation problems, he added.
