Red Cross must expand services: Yennam

Mahabubnagar: Government Whip and Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy called upon the newly elected office-bearers of the Indian Red Cross Society, Mahabubnagar district branch, to expand humanitarian and social services across the district. The new office-bearers, including chairman KS Ravikumar, vice-president Ramakrishnaiah and treasurer G Ramanaiah, met Yennam at his camp office in Mahabubnagar on Saturday. The MLA felicitated them and congratulated them on their unanimous election.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Reddy said the Red Cross should provide immediate assistance to people during natural disasters and emergencies. He also stressed the need to organise more blood donation camps, free health services and other welfare activities, particularly in rural areas. Deputy Mayor Marepalli Surender Reddy and others were present.
