Mancherial: Recognising his outstanding performance in increasing student enrollment in government schools and administration, Mancherial district Collector Kumar Deepak has been selected “Award for Excellence in Educational Administration-2026” by the State government.

Yogita Rana, Secretary of the State Education department, issued orders to this effect. Collector Kumar Deepak is set to receive this award on Saturday(September 5) from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy during the state-level Teachers’ Day celebrations.

Mancherial district demonstrated exceptional performance at the state level in boosting student enrollment in government schools. While there were 43,072 students in the district’s government schools during the 2025-26 academic year, the figure rose to 45,626 in 2026-27. This represents an addition of 2,554 students to government schools in just one year. Compared to 2024-25, student enrollment in government schools has increased by 10.34 percent over the two-year period.

An enrollment increase of over 10 percent was achieved in 282 government schools across the district. Mandamarri, Naspur, Jaipur, Hajipur, and Bhimaram mandals also recorded an enrollment rise exceeding 10 percent.

Furthermore, the fact that 4,346 students left private schools to join government schools stands as a testament to the growing confidence parents have in government education.

This success was driven by the concerted efforts and continuous monitoring of the District Additional Collector, District Educational Officer P. Chandrayya, education department officials, Mandal Educational Officers, headmasters, teachers, MIS personnel, CCOs, and CRPs, all working under the guidance of Collector Kumar Deepak.

Consequently, Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak received the “Award for Excellence in Educational Administration – 2026.” Officials view this award as a mark of special state-level recognition not only for the Collector but also for the District Education Department and the entire Mancherial district.
