Elderly woman knocks on Tahsildar’s door for justice

Kodad (Suryapet): A distressing incident was reported from Lakshmipuram in Kodad of Suryapet district on Sunday, where an elderly woman alleged that her son-in-law duped her.
According to Ramulamma, her son-in-law Ramulu took her along saying that he would help her update her Aadhaar card. She alleged that instead, he got 20 guntas of agricultural land registered in the name of her granddaughter, Vineetha.
Ramulamma said that after getting the land transferred, her son-in-law and granddaughter stopped taking care of her. She has since been staying at a relative’s house.
The elderly woman further alleged that she was forcibly taken away from her relatives’ house. Seeking justice, she approached the Kodad Tahsildar’s office and appealed to the authorities to take action against her son-in-law Ramulu and granddaughter Vineetha.
She urged the officials to intervene in the matter, ensure her safety and provide justice regarding the land allegedly transferred in her granddaughter’s name.
