Suryapet: Jagadish inaugurates voter registration help desk
Suryapet: Former minister MLA G Jagadish Reddy inaugurated a voter registration help desk at Vanijya Bhavan Centre in Suryapet on Monday ahead of the Graduate MLC elections. He and his wife registered as voters on the first day of the registration drive.
Jagadish urged all eligible graduates to register as voters, stating that the Election Commission had issued the notification for voter registration on Monday.
He said the previous graduate voters’ list had been cancelled and that both existing and new voters must register afresh to exercise their franchise in the upcoming elections.
The former minister said the BRS had established a special help desk at Vanijya Bhavan Centre to facilitate voter registration for graduates belonging to the erstwhile Nalgonda, Khammam and Warangal districts.
All necessary arrangements had been made at the centre to assist eligible voters with the registration process.
Jagadish Reddy appealed to retired employees, serving employees, unemployed youth, businesspeople and all other eligible graduates to enrol as voters.
Referring to the two upcoming Graduate MLC elections in Telangana, he said voters should assess the performance of the ruling Congress government and the role of the opposition BRS before making their electoral decisions.
According to the Election Commission’s schedule, eligible graduates can submit fresh voter registration applications through Form 18 until November 6.
