Market committees outsourcing employees demand pay hike

A meeting of outsourcing employees working in Market Committees of the erstwhile Chittoor district was held in Tirupati on Sunday under the banner of the Andhra Pradesh State Agricultural Market Committees Outsourcing Employees Welfare Association.

AP CPS Employees Association Associate President Cheerla Kiran expressed complete support to the employees.

Several issues of market yard outsourcing employees across the state have been pending for a long time.

He demanded that the government increase their salaries and allowances and implement the ‘equal pay for equal work’ rule in the state as per Supreme Court directions.

The demand for raising the retirement age from 60 years to 62 years and increasing accident insurance coverage from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh for outsourcing employees has been raised.

State General Secretary of Market Yard Employees Jagadeesh, Nakka Venkataratnam, Prasad, Vankeepuram Pawan, Guntur Rekha, Eshwar Naik and others participated in the meeting.
