NTR sports complex in Tirupati set for inauguration on April 15

Tirupati: Themuch-awaited NTR Sports Complex being constructed at Gollavanigunta in Tirupati town is set to be inaugurated on April 15, bringing new hope and opportunities for young sportspersons in the region.

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman A Ravi Naidu visited the complex on Friday and reviewed the progress of the ongoing works.

During the inspection, he interacted with officials and assessed the facilities being developed at the venue.

He told the District Sports Development Officer Sasidhar to ensure quality in works and make arrangements for the inauguration event on April 15.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman said that the sports complex will be inaugurated within the month of April and will soon be made available for athletes. He expressed confidence that the facility would become an important platform for budding sportspersons in Tirupati. The NTR Sports Complex has been developed with multiple sports facilities, including grounds for cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball, and ball badminton. Officials have been directed to complete all remaining arrangements ahead of the inauguration ceremony. Ravi Naidu said the new sports venue is expected to encourage young talent in Tirupati and open up fresh opportunities in the field of sports.

The complex is likely to play a key role in promoting sports culture and nurturing future athletes from the region.
