IIM Visakhapatnam achieves BGA accreditation

Visakhapatnam: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) announced that it has been awarded accreditation by the Business Graduates Association (BGA), a globally recognised body dedicated to ensuring quality and impact in business education, for five years. With this achievement, IIMV joins a select cohort of institutions accredited by BGA in India. This significant milestone highlights the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, responsible management education and continuous improvement, aligned with its mission of nurturing entrepreneurial leaders and its distinctive ‘three I’s’ focusing on identifying opportunities, innovating solutions and creating meaningful impact.

BGA accreditation, a UK-based and globally respected quality assurance framework, is a whole-school accreditation awarded to business schools that demonstrate measurable, continuous impact on their students, stakeholders and communities. It focuses on advancing positive societal impact, responsible management education and lifelong learning, while also encouraging alignment with select United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A distinctive feature of the accreditation is the Continuous Impact Model (CIM), which assesses how institutions enhance their impact in line with their strategic objectives. The institution’s adoption of this model reflects its strong commitment to continuous improvement and long-term value creation.

The recognition highlights the institution’s emphasis on delivering innovative, industry-relevant programmes and fostering a culture of sustainability, inclusivity and social responsibility.
