Visakhapatnam: In view of the prevailing drought-like conditions in Andhra Pradesh, ‘Varuna Japam’ and ‘Sahasra Ghatabhishekam’ rituals are being conducted with fervor at Sri Tripurantaka Swamy Temple (Shivalayam), a sub-temple associated with the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam.
Along with praying for the welfare of the people and to bring relief from drought conditions. The special rituals will be performed at the temple for three days.
As part of the rituals, Ganapati Puja, Gavyanta Puja, Punar Puja, Vaastu Puja, Vaastu Homam, Varuna Japam and Bimba Shuddhi (Udaka Shanti) were performed.
Daily homams, Varuna Japams and special Vedic recitations form part of the rituals.
Temple Executive Officer J Venkata Rao mentioned that despite these special homams and rituals, darshan of Sri Tripurantaka Swamy will continue as usual without interruption for devotees.
