Karimnagar hosts cycling rally to encourage fitness

A “Healthy Cycling Rally” was organised on the occasion of World Health Day at the District Police Headquarters in Karimnagar, with Senior Congress leader and VNR Foundation founder Dr. V. Narender Reddy participating in the event.

The rally, conducted in association with Police Commissioner Ghouse Alam, IPS, saw around 150 cyclists taking part. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narender Reddy highlighted the growing awareness among people towards healthy lifestyles and stressed the importance of cycling in improving fitness and reducing environmental pollution.

He noted that developed countries prioritise cycling and urged citizens to adopt it as a regular habit. The rally began at the Police Headquarters and passed through key areas including Bus Stand, Telangana Chowk, R&B Junction, and Court Junction before concluding at Renny Hospital.

Several dignitaries, including Dr. Bangari Swamy, Dr. Captain B. Madhusudan Reddy, and traffic officials, attended the event. Organisers said certificates of appreciation would be awarded to all participants.
