WARANGAL: A major fire broke out at the Sai Plastic Scrap godown in Balaji Nagar, Greater Warangal’s 14th division, on Sunday, with thick smoke spreading across the neighbourhood and causing panic among locals. Fire personnel rushed to the spot and are working to bring the blaze under control using multiple fire engines.
Incident details
The fire erupted suddenly at the Sai Plastic Scrap godown located opposite Enmamula Market, near Chandrakiran Cold Storage, in the 14th division of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC).
Within minutes, flames rose high and dense smoke enveloped the surrounding area, alarming residents and passers-by.
As the godown stored plastic scrap, the fire reportedly spread quickly, complicating initial containment efforts.
Response and ongoing efforts
On receiving information, fire service teams reached the scene promptly and began dousing operations with several fire engines.
