6 Dead, 7 Injured As Wedding Bus Collides With Truck In Uttar Pradesh

At least six people lost their lives and seven others were injured after a bus collided with a truck in Hapur. The accident occurred when the bus, carrying passengers returning from a wedding procession, rammed into the vehicle.

According to police officials, emergency teams reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated rescue operations. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where six individuals were declared dead, while others are currently undergoing treatment.

Authorities stated that around 12 people were travelling on the bus at the time of the crash, and one person—believed to be the driver—remains unidentified. The damaged vehicles were cleared from the road, and traffic movement has since resumed.

Police have begun an investigation into the cause of the accident, while legal formalities are underway. Family members of the victims have also arrived at the site following the tragic incident.

In a separate but similar incident in Katihar, at least 10 people were killed earlier this month after a collision between a bus and a pickup vehicle on a national highway, highlighting ongoing concerns over road safety.
