A philatelic tribute to Berhampur University’s Diamond Jubilee

Berhampur: In a moment where history met heritage and tradition embraced tribute, Berhampur University marked its Diamond Jubilee year with the graceful release of a special commemorative postal cover, turning a page of celebration into a timeless keepsake.
The ceremonious occasion, organised in collaboration with the Department of Posts, India, unfolded amidst an aura of pride and reverence, drawing together dignitaries, academicians, and students in a shared celebration of six decades of academic excellence.
Gracing the event as Chief Guest, Post Master General (Berhampur Region) Vinod Kumar lauded the university’s enduring journey, praising its invaluable contributions to education, culture, and societal transformation. The presence of Basanta Kumar Panda, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Berhampur Region, added further prestige to the occasion, symbolising the confluence of communication and commemoration.
At the helm of the celebration stood Vice-Chancellor Geetanjali Dash, whose dignified leadership guided the proceedings. She was joined by PG Council Chairman Sukanta Kumar Tripathy, Registrar Sachidananda Nayak, along with faculty members and enthusiastic students, all bearing witness to a landmark tribute.

This philatelic tribute, now set to travel far and wide, will be available across more than one lakh post offices in the country, carrying with it the story, spirit, and legacy of Berhampur University to every corner of the nation.
