TCS Suspends Employees, Cooperates With Probe In Nashik Harassment Case

Tata Consultancy Services has suspended employees linked to the Nashik case and is cooperating with authorities as multiple FIRs and arrests deepen the investigation.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Sunday announced the suspension of employees under investigation in connection with the Nashik case, reiterating its strict zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion. The company confirmed it is fully cooperating with authorities and said further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing probe.
The IT firm has come under scrutiny after multiple FIRs were registered over alleged incidents of sexual harassment and religious conversion at its Nashik unit. Reports indicate that at least nine FIRs have been filed so far. The case first came to light in March when a woman accused a colleague of engaging in a physical relationship with her under the false promise of marriage.
As the investigation progressed, authorities uncovered additional complaints, leading to more FIRs involving similar allegations. Acting swiftly, TCS suspended the employees under scrutiny and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe workplace environment.
So far, at least six employees have been arrested based on inputs received by the Nashik Police Commissioner’s office. Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnavis has termed the matter “very serious” and praised the police for their prompt action.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to conduct a detailed inquiry, with officials also questioning a human resources executive based in Pune. Authorities have indicated that further steps will be taken depending on the SIT’s findings.
