Flipkart Freedom Sale: iPhone 17 Pro Max May Cost Less Than iPhone 17 Pro

Apple's most feature-packed iPhone comes with the costliest price tag. But Flipkart's upcoming Freedom Sale looks set to flip that logic. Flipkart has teased a deal that could see the iPhone 17 Pro Max sell for less than its smaller version, the iPhone 17 Pro - a rare pricing twist that's already grabbing attention ahead of the sale. Customers will need to stack the sale discount with select bank offers and cashback to unlock the complete benefit.

Breaking down the Rs 1,32,900 price tag

As per Flipkart's teaser page, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will get a Rs 8,000 price cut, bringing it down from Rs 1,49,900 to Rs 1,41,900 during the sale.

Customers making payment with an SBI credit card or the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card can get another offer of Rs 5,000 instantly, reducing the price further to Rs 1,36,900.

Then comes the cashback offer - a 5 percent return on qualifying transactions, which adds up to around Rs 4,000 more in savings; the final effective price settles at almost Rs 1,32,900.

What makes this noteworthy is that the figure actually challenges the iPhone 17 Pro's own starting price of Rs 1,34,900. So, buyers stand to save close to Rs 17,000 through this combination of instant discount, cashback and bank benefit. Flipkart notes that the iPhone 17 Pro will see a similar total savings of around Rs 17,000 also - though its final effective price still lands above the Pro Max deal.

Other iPhones getting cheaper too

The Pro Max isn't the only version getting a discount in this sale. Flipkart has confirmed discounts on a few older iPhone models also

The iPhone 15 will drop to Rs 55,900, down from Rs 59,900. Whereas the iPhone 16 Plus will cost Rs 75,900, compared to the current price of Rs 79,900.

Flipkart hasn't announced exact discounts for the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17e, iPhone 16, or iPhone 13. Earlier teasers had hinted that the standard iPhone 17 might be available for less than Rs 80,000, which suggests additional offers could still be disclosed before the sale officially starts.
