OPPO teases premium camera-focused Find X9 Ultra with bold design, powerful specs, and advanced photography kit before April 21 launch.

OPPO has officially unveiled the complete design and colour variants of its upcoming flagship, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, just days ahead of its global debut scheduled for April 21. A newly released promotional video offers a detailed look at the device’s aesthetics, camera system, and an intriguing set of photography accessories.

The video reveals that the smartphone will be available in at least two-colour options—black and orange. The black variant stands out with a dual-tone finish, drawing clear inspiration from professional cameras developed in collaboration with Hasselblad. It features a combination of metallic textures and leather-like panels, giving the device a premium and rugged appeal. Meanwhile, the orange variant appears more understated, with a smoother glass back design.

This marks a significant moment for OPPO, as it plans to introduce the Ultra variant of its Find X series to markets beyond China for the first time. However, the company has not yet confirmed whether the device will be launched in India.

The design video begins with visuals of a Hasselblad camera before transitioning to the smartphone, emphasizing the brand’s continued focus on photography. The rear panel houses a large circular camera module, which dominates the design. According to OPPO, the setup includes a powerful combination of sensors: a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 3x “Super Portrait” telephoto lens, a 50MP 10x optical telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the device is equipped with a 50MP front-facing camera.

Notably, OPPO claims that the 200MP main camera “rivals a 1-inch sensor,” while the 3x telephoto lens is branded as a 200MP Hasselblad “Super Portrait” shooter. These specifications suggest that the Find X9 Ultra is heavily geared toward photography enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Adding to its camera capabilities is the “Earth Explorer Kit,” which includes three additional external lenses. These are designed to enhance long-range photography by extending the reach of the built-in sensors. The kit also features a grip module with a dedicated shutter button, mimicking the experience of using a traditional camera. It remains unclear whether this accessory will be bundled with the phone or sold separately.

On the hardware front, the Find X9 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options going up to 1TB using UFS 4.1 technology.

The smartphone is also tipped to include a massive 7,050mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. In terms of durability, it is expected to come with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, ensuring strong resistance against water and dust.

Weighing 238 grams and measuring 9.15mm in thickness, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra aims to blend high-end design with cutting-edge performance, positioning itself as a serious contender in the premium smartphone segment.
