Vivo T5 Pro 5G arrives April 15 with a massive battery, Snapdragon chipset, AMOLED display, and expected price under Rs 37,000.

Vivo has officially announced the launch of its upcoming smartphone, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G, in India on April 15. Ahead of the debut, the company has shared several key specifications, giving consumers a glimpse of what to expect from the new device. One of the standout features is its massive 9,020mAh battery, which marks a significant upgrade over its predecessor’s 6,500mAh unit. This suggests a strong focus on extended battery life, likely appealing to users who prioritise long-lasting performance.

In addition to its battery, Vivo has confirmed that the T5 Pro 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. While the company has not officially named the chipset, reports indicate that it could be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. A recent Geekbench listing supports this claim, hinting at a configuration with up to 12GB of RAM. This combination is expected to offer smooth multitasking and reliable day-to-day performance.

Benchmark results from Geekbench reveal that the device scored 1,214 in single-core and 3,146 in multi-core tests. Interestingly, these figures appear slightly lower than those recorded by the previous Vivo T4 Pro in certain internal comparisons. This could indicate that the newer processor may not deliver a substantial performance boost, at least based on early benchmark data.

On the display front, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G is expected to feature a 1.5K AMOLED panel. This should provide vibrant colours, deeper contrasts, and an overall enhanced viewing experience, making it suitable for media consumption and gaming. The smartphone is also likely to ship with Android 16 out of the box, ensuring access to the latest software features and improvements.

In terms of design, Vivo has confirmed that the handset will be available in two color options: Cosmic Black and Glacier Blue. These choices suggest a premium aesthetic aimed at appealing to a wide range of users.

The device will be sold through Flipkart, indicating a strong online retail focus. Pricing details have not been officially confirmed, but reports suggest that the Vivo T5 Pro 5G will be positioned under Rs 37,000. The base variant is expected to start at around Rs 30,000, while the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at approximately Rs 36,999. This places the phone slightly above its predecessor, reflecting the upgraded features and specifications.

Overall, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G appears to be a well-rounded offering, with its large battery being the key highlight. While performance improvements may be incremental, the combination of a high-capacity battery, modern display, and updated software could make it an attractive option in the mid-premium segment. With the official launch just days away, more details, including confirmed specifications and pricing, are expected to be revealed soon.
