Hyderabad: The music world was plunged into grief with the passing of Padma Vibhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient Asha Bhosle, one of India’s most celebrated playback singers. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao issued heartfelt condolence messages, describing her demise as an irreparable loss to Indian music. Union Minister Kishan Reddy said the news of Asha Bhosle’s passing was deeply saddening. He recalled her illustrious career, which began at the age of ten and spanned nearly eight decades, during which she sang in multiple languages and carved out a unique identity in the Indian music industry.

He praised her versatility, noting that she excelled not only in classical music but also in ghazals and pop, winning the hearts of millions of music lovers. “Her contribution to Indian music will remain unforgettable. I pray for peace to her noble soul and extend my deepest condolences to her family and admirers,” he said.

Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao also expressed shock and sorrow, calling Asha Bhosle a singer of the era, who will never be forgotten. He highlighted her collaborations with legendary singers such as Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, and Kishore Kumar, which defined Hindi film music for over six decades. “Her melodious voice and invaluable service to Indian music will forever remain etched in the hearts of the people. Her demise is a huge loss to the film industry and to music lovers across the nation,” he said, offering prayers for her soul and sympathy to her family.
