Sadabainama disposal to pick pace from next week

The Telangana Revenue Department is set to accelerate the disposal of Sadabainama applications from next week following the issuance of fresh operational guidelines. According to official sources, the process had initially begun last week but was temporarily halted after instructions were issued to Tahsildars during a review.
The pause followed a video conference held on 8 April, where the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration briefed District Collectors and Revenue Divisional Officers on updated procedures. As per the revised guidelines, officials have been directed to process applications through field verification.
A panchanama may be conducted by the Revenue Inspector, along with the Gram Panchayat Officer and surveyor. Based on the field-level enquiry report, the Tahsildar will take further action. Only cases with positive verification will be processed, with a focus on confirming whether the applicant is in possession of the land.
If there are any doubts regarding the panchanama, the Tahsildar must conduct a field inquiry. Subsequently, District Collectors held video conferences on Friday with Tahsildars and Revenue Inspectors to communicate these directions. Sources indicated that applications filed between October 12, 2020 and November 2020 will be taken up on priority. RDOs have been instructed to verify eligibility, ownership rights, possession status, and supporting documents. Applicants will also be required to submit affidavits.
After scrutiny, cases will be uploaded to the Bhu Bharati portal for a 30-day public notice period. If no objections are received, officials will issue a 13(B) certificate to finalise applications.
The CCLA has directed District Collectors to closely monitor the disposal process and submit periodic reports to ensure timely resolution and transparency in handling these significant land regularisation cases across the state.
