ED arrests Raj Kasireddy in AP liquor scam case

Enforcement Directorate intensifies the AP liquor scam probe with simultaneous raids across Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh, leading to the arrest of alleged mastermind Raj Kasireddy in connection with a ₹349-crore transportation racket.
A significant development has occurred in the AP liquor scam case. ED officials have taken the prime accused, Raj Kasireddy, into custody. The ED has conducted raids on Thursday across various locations in the Telugu states, carrying out simultaneous searches at ten places, including Hyderabad.
The officials inspected Raj Kasireddy’s residence and offices, as well as the homes of other suspects. As part of these proceedings, Raj Kasireddy was taken into custody. Reports indicate that the ED intends to question him regarding the liquor scam and associated liquor transportation cases.
Officials believe a comprehensive investigation into the matter is necessary. It is worth noting that the SIT in Vijayawada has already filed four charge sheets in this case, and preparations are now underway to file the final charge sheet.
