Mumbai: Popular singer Jasmine Sandlas has shared a powerful message of self-love and personal growth, saying she had to become her own “dream girl” before she could become one for her fans.
The singer took to social media to share a video from a recent photoshoot in which she appeared in a maroon lehenga while posing confidently for the camera. The clip featured the classic song In Aankhon Ki Masti from the film Umrao Jaan playing in the background.
Accompanying the video, Jasmine wrote, “I had to become my own dream girl before I could become yours,” a statement that resonated with many followers and admirers. Among those reacting to the post was actress Sonam Bajwa, who playfully commented, “Stop being so beautiful all the time.”
Jasmine Sandlas rose to prominence with her debut hit song “Muskan” in 2008. She entered Bollywood playback singing in 2014 with the song “Yaar Na Miley” from the film Kick. Over the years, she has delivered several chart-topping tracks, including “Shararat,” “Illegal Weapon” and “Main Aur Tu.”
Her recent successful songs include “Taras” from the film Munjya and “Nasha” from Raid 2. The singer has also earned numerous accolades, including the Most Popular Song of the Year award in 2016. In addition, she has appeared on platforms such as TEDx Talks, MTV Coke Studio and Spoken Word.
In May, Jasmine announced her upcoming ‘The Dream Girl India Tour’, describing it as more than just a larger concert experience. She said the tour aims to create a powerful connection between her music and audiences across the country.
Reflecting on the tour, Jasmine said her journey has always remained authentic and closely connected to her listeners. She added that the tour would offer an arena-scale experience while maintaining a deeply personal and intimate atmosphere.
The multi-city tour is scheduled to visit major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chandigarh during July and August this year.
