Rahul Roy recreates iconic ‘Tere Dar Par Sanam’ moment, delights fans on social media

Rahul Roy rose to national fame with his blockbuster debut film Aashiqui in 1990. His on-screen pairing with Anu Aggarwal became immensely popular, and the film’s chart-topping soundtrack helped turn both actors into overnight stars.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rahul Roy has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane by recreating the magic of the timeless song Tere Dar Par Sanam from his 1993 romantic drama Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee.
The actor, who often engages with fans through social media and humorously refers to himself as an “influencer”, shared a video on Instagram featuring himself strolling through a garden dressed in an all-white outfit while the popular song played in the background.
Adding a light-hearted touch to the post, Rahul captioned the video, “Sometimes I am also an Influencer,” drawing appreciation from fans who fondly remembered the classic track and film.
Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee starred Pooja Bhatt alongside Rahul Roy. The memorable song Tere Dar Par Sanam was rendered by legendary singers Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam in its male and female versions respectively.
The film revolved around a tragic love story in which Rahul’s character falls in love with a mentally troubled woman played by Pooja Bhatt. Following her confinement to an asylum and eventual death in a fire, her memories continue to haunt him, forming the emotional core of the narrative.

Rahul Roy was most recently seen in Agra, a psychological drama directed by Kanu Behl. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received attention for its unconventional storytelling and performances.
