Samyuktha Viswanathan excited to make full-fledged lead debut in Double Occupancy

Chennai: Actress Samyuktha Viswanathan expressed her excitement and gratitude after being introduced as a lead heroine in the upcoming romantic fantasy drama Double Occupancy (DO), which is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12.
Sharing her emotions through an Instagram post, Samyuktha reflected on her journey in the film industry and described the opportunity as the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream. She said that after years of patience, struggle, passion and hard work, she could finally say that she was being introduced in a full-length feature film as a lead actress.
The actress stated that her younger self would have been proud of the achievement and thanked her supporters for standing by her throughout her journey. She acknowledged that the path to reaching this milestone had been challenging but rewarding, filled with learning experiences, perseverance, hope and God's grace.
Samyuktha also sought the continued love, prayers and support of her fans and hinted that there were many people she wished to thank for helping her reach this stage in her career.
Directed by Aswin Kandasamy, Double Occupancy features actors Santhosh, Reshma Venkatesh, Samyuktha Viswanathan and Vinoth Kishan in lead roles. The film is produced by [Avni Cinemax]. Shooting for the project was completed in February this year.
According to sources associated with the production, the film combines romance, fantasy and contemporary themes, exploring identity, duality, science versus faith and the emotional complexities of love. Samyuktha is paired opposite Santhosh, with her character expected to bring emotional depth and charm to the narrative.
The supporting cast includes VTV Ganesh and Bagavathi Perumal. The film marks the directorial debut of Aswin Kandasamy after years of working with leading production houses.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Santhakumar Chakravarthy, music composer Sam CS, editor Praveen Antony, production designer Senthil Raghavan and costume designer Sruthi R. Kannan.
