Chennai: The makers of actor Sivakarthikeyan’s highly anticipated rural entertainer ‘Seyon’ have announced the successful completion of the film’s first shooting schedule. The update was shared by the production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, on social media.

Sharing the milestone, the makers posted, “From passion to progress #Seyon First Schedule Wrapped. #சேயோன் #VetrivelVeeravel #Varendi,” signalling steady progress on the project.

The film was officially launched on May 18 in Madurai with a grand pooja ceremony attended by several film personalities, including veteran actor and producer Kamal Haasan. ‘Seyon’ is being jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.

Actress Baghyashrii Borse has been cast as the female lead, marking her first direct Tamil-language film. Ahead of the film’s launch, director Sivakumar Murugesan shared a video of the core team meeting Kamal Haasan and signing the project agreement, expressing his excitement about receiving an autographed agreement from the veteran star.

‘Seyon’ is expected to be a grand rural commercial entertainer and is slated for release in October. The project reunites Sivakarthikeyan with Raaj Kamal Films International after the success of ‘Amaran’, which received both critical acclaim and commercial success.

Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, the film also marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and acclaimed music composer Santhosh Narayanan. The technical crew includes cinematographer Vivek Vijayakumar, editor San Lokesh, art director R.K. Nagu, and costume designers Keerthy Sampath and Joshua Maxwell.
