Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s reported success with Irumudi has once again sparked talks about the actor’s box-office market and future earnings. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, and released on August 21, the film is said to have delivered Ravi Teja a stellar theatrical run, said to have crossed the ₹230 crore worldwide gross mark.

Interestingly, Ravi Teja’s remuneration structure for Irumudi was reportedly different that of the conventional model. Trade reports said that the actor received ₹8 crore as direct remuneration, and also took the theatrical rights for the Nizam region, which were initially valued at around ₹7 crore before the film’s release.

The film’s stellar performance is said to have significantly inflated the value of those rights. Circulating trade calculations said that Irumudi may have generated around ₹56 crore share in Nizam, and the figure may approach ₹60 crore by the end of its theatrical run. Accounting for GST, expenses and distributor commissions, reports said Ravi Teja may potentially benefit by nearly ₹50 crore from the Nizam territory alone.

Adding the upfront remuneration, the actor’s overall benefit from the reported arrangement may be close to ₹60 crore.

The success has also changed talks about Ravi Teja’s market. Before Irumudi, there were reports questioning his box-office pull and remuneration structure. The film’s performance has provided a different look at his current commercial standing.

With the blockbuster run to Irumudi, industry discussions said Ravi Teja could potentially look at increasing his remuneration by around 30-40% for incoming projects. However, the figures for his future deals would depend on the respective projects, producers and theatrical markets. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi has therefore emerged as an important success in Ravi Teja’s career, as well as influenced talks around his commercial value.
