Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, has announced admissions for its Postgraduate Diploma in Development Leadership programme for the 2027 academic session.
The 11-month part-time programme is aimed at professionals in the social sector seeking to strengthen their leadership capabilities while continuing their current employment. Designed for mid- and senior-level practitioners with at least eight years of experience, the diploma focuses on enhancing understanding of development frameworks, civil society dynamics, and organisational cultures. The programme combines online and on-campus learning across three academic terms, enabling participants to balance professional commitments with academic engagement.
The curriculum aims to deepen participants’ perspectives on development realities in India, encourage exploration of equitable and sustainable development approaches, and build leadership skills for managing inclusive and collaborative organisations. It also offers training in financial management, communication, and data analysis. Arima Mishra, Director of the School of Development, said the programme provides an opportunity for experienced professionals to reflect on their organisational experiences within broader development perspectives and strengthen their capacity to lead effectively.
The last date to submit applications is October 11, 2026. Written assignments and interviews will be conducted between October and November 2026, while classes are scheduled to begin in the first week of January 2027.
