Hyderabad's Central Crime Station has urged victims of the Dhanwantari Foundation International fraud case to submit their investment details for reimbursement. Authorities have attached properties worth hundreds of crores linked to the scam and are preparing a verified list of depositors to facilitate the recovery and distribution of funds.

Hyderabad: The Central Crime Station of the Detective Department, Hyderabad, has appealed to all victims of the Dhanwantari Foundation International fraud case to submit their deposit details if they have not already done so. According to the Deputy Commissioner, the case was registered on December 23, 2023, based on a formal complaint lodged by Susrala Narsimha Murthy.

The DFI, led by P Kamalakar Sharma and others, allegedly cheated vulnerable victims by promising exceptionally high returns on investments, ultimately collecting around Rs 516 crore from 2,000 depositors, most of whom were senior citizens.

During the intensive investigation, the CCS arrested the main accused and successfully identified properties linked to DFI, including about 450 acres of land in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh alongside 3,000 square yards of commercial space in Hyderabad.

The state government subsequently attached these properties and obtained official Government Orders, succeeding in obtaining an absolute ad-interim order for the properties from the High Court. The court also dismissed the criminal appeals filed by DFI management. Officials stated that victims who have not yet submitted their specific investment details should do so immediately.

This crucial data will directly help authorities prepare an accurate list of depositors and systematically distribute the money recovered from selling the attached properties. All affected investors are requested to contact the department to ensure their names are recorded.
