Doctors applaud Telangana’s digital transfer drive

Hyderabad: The government doctors have thanked the government of Telangana for the successful completion of the transfer process in a transparent, fair, and unbiased manner. The Telangana Teaching Government Doctors Association in a press release stated that they sincerely appreciate the Government of Telangana for executing the transfer process cleanly, noting that the online transfer system has been widely welcomed by medical professionals across the state.

The association president Kiran brought to the notice of the administration a small pending issue regarding request transfers for doctors who have completed more than three years but less than four years of service, as these specific movements could not be taken up during the current cycle.

The association noted that they understand the Health Department has already forwarded a formal proposal to the Finance Department seeking approval for the extension of the ban relaxation to facilitate these request transfers. They requested state intervention to expedite the approval process so that remaining eligible doctors receive an opportunity to complete the process comprehensively.

Concurrently, doctors in Gandhi Hospital expressed immense happiness over the digital method. Shekhar congratulated the administration for completing the process online instead of using the traditional offline mode, highlighting that authorities remained firm against external pressure from certain associations whilst incorporating lessons learned from the 2024 experience.

They explicitly thanked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Health Minister C Damodara Raja Narasimha, and Health Department Principal Secretary Christina Z Chongthu alongside the executive staff who successfully managed the entire procedure.
