Govt disburses ex gratia to Saudi bus tragedy victims’ kin

The Telangana Minority Welfare Department distributed pending ex-gratia cheques to families of victims who lost their lives in the Madina bus accident in Saudi Arabia. The state government provided ₹5 lakh compensation to each affected family as part of its relief and support measures.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Minority Welfare department on Wednesday distributed pending ex-gratia cheques to the families of victims who lost their lives in the tragic Madina bus accident in Saudi Arabia. Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, along with AIMIM MLA Mohammed Majid Hussain and State Haj Committee Chairman Khusro Pasha, handed over the financial aid. The distribution took place at the Secretariat, where TGMREIS Secretary B Shafiullah was also present.
The compensation cheques were formally given to the families of the late Mohammed Jaffar and the late Shaik Siraj. Azharuddin expressed profound grief, noting that no amount of financial assistance could compensate for losing loved ones.
The deceased's family members expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Azharuddin, Majid Hussain, and the state government for their timely intervention, burial assistance, and continuous support. The Telangana government had announced an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those who perished in the Madinah bus tragedy.
