Inter-state drug peddler arrested
The Telangana EAGLE Force and Shadnagar Police arrested an interstate drug peddler and seized 20 grams of MDMA during a special operation near Shadnagar. Authorities said the accused was allegedly transporting the narcotic substance from Bengaluru to Hyderabad as part of an illegal drug trafficking network.
Hyderabad: In a swift operation, the EAGLE Force of Telangana, along with Shadnagar Police under the Future City Commissionerate, apprehended an interstate drug peddler and seized 20 grams of MDMA near Shadnagar on Wednesday.
According to the EAGLE Force, the accused, identified as Mohit Kumar, 32, is an interior designer residing in Pet Basheerabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. He had previously been addicted to Ganja and was arrested in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. After coming into contact with drug peddlers in Bengaluru, he allegedly started purchasing drugs at a lower price and selling them at higher prices to consumers, earning substantial illegal profits through trafficking.
Police stated he purchased the 20 grams of MDMA from a supplier named Nig in Bengaluru on June 9 and was actively transporting it to Hyderabad.
Based on credible information, the EAGLE Force apprehended the accused and seized a mobile phone from his possession.
