The wow factor: NIFT students set the ramp ablaze as showstoppers!

Over two hundred graduating students present creative and tech driven solutions spanning artificial intelligence and sustainability at annual exhibition
Hyderabad: The Annual Graduation Project Showcase 2026 has brought future fashion leaders to the centre stage at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Hyderabad on Tuesday. The major event celebrated the vast academic achievements of students from both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The vibrant showcase effectively highlighted the creativity, technical skills, and deep industry-readiness of 239 graduating students across seven specialized departments. Throughout the exhibition, students successfully presented solutions to contemporary market challenges, including artificial intelligence integration, automation, merchandising, digital marketing, e-commerce, supply chain management, ergonomics, UI/UX, strategic branding, and trend forecasting.
The comprehensive event included a dynamic fashion show and project exhibition, drawing active participation from faculty, industry experts, and distinguished guests. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, attended the venue as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included filmmaker and costume designer Sushmita Konidela alongside Raymond’s Director of Operations, Kaushalendra Narayan, who is a prominent alumnus of NIFT Hyderabad.
Prestigious awards were presented across departments for excellence in design, innovation, and commercial viability. Winners included Saundarya N Nayak and Rishi Chotlani in Fashion Design; Alokananda Dey and Tammisetty Dhanya Sri in Fashion Communication; Tejashwini S and Hemashri A in Knitwear Design; Babli Jaiswal, Surya P S, and Priyanshu in Textile Design; Mudigonda Lokesh Kumar, Fathima Dilna, and D Meghna in Accessories; Devika Satheesh K, Harini Preetha S G, and Samiya Siddiqui in Fashion Technology; and Snigdha T R, Santhosh R V, and Guntreddy Surya Meghana in Fashion Management. Led by Director Malini Divakala and senior faculty, the showcase highlighted the institute’s growing presence in producing industry-ready professionals with creativity, technological expertise, and exceptional leadership.
