IMD predicts rains in Visakhapatnam and other parts in couple of hours

The Meteorological Department has issued a crucial announcement. It stated that heavy rain is expected shortly in Visakhapatnam and several other districts across the state. Additionally, gusty winds blowing at speeds of 50 to 60 kmph are likely. In light of this, a 'Red Alert' has been issued for the Vizianagaram, Alluri, and Anakapalli districts.
Moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by lightning in some areas, are likely in the Vizianagaram, Alluri, and Anakapalli districts. The Meteorological Department noted that moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning is expected in parts of the Araku, Gajapathinagaram, Vizianagaram, S. Kota, Kothavalasa, Chodavaram, Narsipatnam, and Madugula mandals.
Disaster Management Agency MD Prakhar Jain urged the public to remain alert due to the likelihood of strong gusty winds and advised them not to stand under trees or near electric poles under any circumstances during the rain.
