Congress BLA-2 training camp held in Khanapur; leaders stress accurate voter registration and correction of electoral rolls

Khanapur: Khanapur MLA and Nirmal District Congress Committee President Vedum Bojju Patel said that Booth Level Agents (BLAs) play a vital role in the preparation of voter lists and must ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls.

Addressing the Congress Party Booth Level Agent (BLA-2) training camp organised at JK Function Hall in Khanapur Mandal on Tuesday, Patel highlighted the importance of BLAs in safeguarding the democratic rights of citizens.

He said every eligible voter should be able to exercise the right to vote envisioned by Dr B.R. Ambedkar and stressed that BLAs have a responsibility to ensure comprehensive voter registration in their respective booths. Patel also underlined the need for vigilance in identifying and correcting errors in voter lists, stating that maintaining accurate electoral records is a key responsibility of BLAs.

He urged party workers and agents to work diligently to strengthen the electoral process and ensure maximum voter participation.

During the programme, State Tribal Congress Vice Chairman Lingayya Naik and State Tribal Congress Coordinator Kotya Naik explained the duties and functioning of BLAs. They provided guidance on voter registration procedures and the preparation and verification of electoral rolls.

The training camp was attended by former Municipal Chairman Rajura Satyam, ATMA Chairman Thota Satyam, Congress Mandal President Jangili Shankar, Town President Gorre Gangadhar, constituency-level Congress BLAs and several party leaders and workers.
