He said, Railway projects worth ₹90,000 crore are presently being implemented across Odisha.

The chief minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday said the State has made fast strides in Odisha development progress. It is in the implementation of welfare schemes designed by of the Modi government for 12 years.

In a press conference, Mr. Majhi said Odisha has been added to more than ₹10,928 crore in the railway budget for 2025-2026. According to CM, the railway projects worth around ₹90,000 crore are presently under implementation across the state. He said, “The State has achieved 100% railway electrification. Modernisation of 59 stations is underway under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station’ scheme”.

Focusing on the state's maritime infrastructure push, the Chief Minister said a new satellite port is forthcoming at Bahuda in Ganjam district. The project, supported by an investment of ₹21,500 crore, is being developed under the Sagarmala and PM Gati Shakti programs to enhance coastal connectivity and financial development.

He added, listing the Centre’s support to the State, “A mega shipbuilding cluster worth ₹22,700 crore is also being established at the Mahanadi mouth in Kendrapara, along with a captive jetty at Jatadhara.”

Mohan Majhi statement to the media: “Today marks the completion of 12 years of continuous, transparent service, strong governance, and extensive welfare initiatives for the poor by the Central Government, along with two successful years of its third term. Mr. Modi is set to create a new national record by becoming the longest-serving democratically elected head of government, completing 4,399 days in office”.

He noted down that despite global challenges like the Ukraine war and crises in West Asia, India remains the fastest-growing major economy, with an economic development Odisha ranging between 7% and 9%.
