Kalyan Banerjee accuses rebel Trinamool Congress MPs of aligning with BJP.

Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad who are prominent Trinamool Congress leaders have strongly criticized BJP rebel party MPs. They speak on the rebel lawmakers of lacking supporting dependability and keeping ties with the BJP. The two leaders even alleged that the rebel MPs abandoned party workers when they were facing political harassment.

During the press conference, Banerjee said the TMC convened the briefing to answer the claim made by dissident MPs. The rebel lawmakers had asserted that they enjoyed the assistance of a majority of the party’s Lok Sabha members. He also added that they declared their intention to look for recognition as a separate faction in Parliament.

Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar declared on Monday that they had planned to write to Speaker Om Birla to express assistance for the NDA. Dastidar asserted that 20 MPs of the party have intended to write to the speaker.

By referring to former TMC MPs, Banerjee said he had resigned from Parliament after increasing allegations against the party. He argued that rebel MPs must take a good step if they have complaints or differences with the organization.

He said, “Sukhendu Sekhar Roy has resigned from the Rajya Sabha after making allegations against our party. Those who are making allegations against the party must follow the path of Sukhendu and show political morality by resigning as MPs”.

Banerjee questioned the legitimacy of a letter allegedly spread by the dissident camp in Indian politics. He said a paper is of great significance has not been made public. According to him, the absence of the letter in the public domain questions for the doubts related to the trustworthiness.
